The focus of First Tee – West Virginia is to give young people, ages 5-18, of all backgrounds an opportunity to develop, through golf, character education and life-enhancing values such as honesty, integrity and sportsmanship. The Life Skills Experience is one of the unique features that separates our program from many other junior golf programs.
The Maddox Potter Foundation was established to honor the life and legacy of Maddox Potter, a passionate young golfer from South Charleston, West Virginia, who courageously battled a rare pediatric cancer. Inspired by Maddox’s strength, kindness, and love for the game, the Foundation supports children and families facing childhood cancer by providing direct financial assistance, funding critical research, and creating meaningful opportunities for connection and hope through golf and community initiatives.
The mission of 3 Betties Foundation, Inc. is to be a beacon of hope during the dark times associated with a cancer diagnosis. Individuals facing cancer often give everything they have—mentally, physically, and emotionally. Our goal is to help lighten their burdens. We recognize that a cancer diagnosis affects not just the individual but their entire family. That’s why we are dedicated to providing comprehensive support that addresses all needs that may arise throughout the journey. From financial assistance and childcare to emotional support and access to critical resources, we work tirelessly to ensure that no one has to face cancer alone.
